How to be Seabird Smart

Different birds behave differently around fishers. Some will sit on the water snatching baits floating below the surface, others will attack your line in the air, and others will swim up to 10m deep with little effort.

Below is a suite of ideas. Some of them are sensible regardless what birds are around - like keeping your boat clean and hiding bait and scraps. You may need to experiment with other ideas. If all else fails sometimes it's necessary to just move on.
